Without installation

Extract the ZIP, for example onto a USB stick, and start IPX.exe. Settings and history are stored in the user profile.

Operating system	Windows 10 (from 1809) or Windows 11, 64-bit
Disk space	approx. 60 MB
Internet	for online tools (DNS, WHOIS, HTTP, SSL, e-mail). LAN scan, subnet calculator, encoder, hashes, JWT and the system tools work offline.
Rights	standard user. Hosts file and DHCP ask for admin rights when needed (Windows dialog).
Display	from 1280 × 720 pixels, high DPI is supported
Firewall	Ping and traceroute use ICMP, the LAN scan uses ARP. Some firewalls ask at first start – allow access.

Ready in three steps

Download and start: double-click the downloaded file. For the ZIP, first right-click › Extract all.
Enter something: your domain, an IP or a URL into the big field. IPX detects the type and suggests tools. Quick start
Set up: choose theme and language under Settings, set your favourite resolver, add domains to the watchlist. Guide

Browser or Windows showing a warning?

Don't worry. Browsers and Windows check how often a program has already been downloaded. With new versions a warning may therefore appear even though the file is perfectly fine.

In the browser: “This file isn't commonly downloaded”
Edge: on the download click the three dots … › Keep › Keep anyway.
Chrome: in the download list click Download or Download anyway.
Firefox: in the download list click the entry › Allow download.

On start: “Windows protected your PC”
Click More info and then Run anyway.

How to recognise the genuine file: setup and program are digitally signed. After clicking More info, the Windows dialog shows HMF-IT UG (haftungsbeschränkt) as publisher. If a different name or “Unknown publisher” appears, please do not start the file and contact us.
