Accessibility
IPX should work for everyone. Here is how far we are and how to give us feedback.
Scope
This statement applies to this website and to the Windows program IPX 3.0. It is based on the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG) and the European standard EN 301 549 or WCAG 2.1, level AA.
Compliance status
According to our own assessment, website and program are largely accessible. The limitations listed below are known.
What we have implemented: website
- Font size switchable in three steps (top right and in the footer), in addition to the browser's zoom
- Light and dark, each with contrasts to WCAG 2.1 AA; the screenshots follow the chosen mode
- Large click targets, clearly visible focus and full keyboard operation
- Clear headings, landmarks and a “Skip to content” link for screen readers
- Animations can be turned off with “Reduce motion” (footer) or the system setting
- Forms with visible labels and understandable error messages; all forms also work without JavaScript
- No content that flashes or moves automatically; no time limits
What we have implemented: program
- Full keyboard operation, command palette with Ctrl+K, shortcuts for all groups and actions
- Light and dark with contrasts to WCAG 2.1 AA; states (ok, warning, error) are marked not only by colour but also by icon and text
- Scaling for high DPI, adopts the Windows setting for animations
- Understandable error messages with advice on what to do
Known limitations
- Screenshots show the program as an image. The essential content is in the alternative text and the text next to it.
- The payment buttons are provided by PayPal. We have only limited influence on their accessibility. If you have problems, we are happy to help you buy by e-mail.
- The program draws its own interface; screen reader support is not yet complete. We are working on it.
- The images on the website and in the guide show the program in German. In the program itself you can choose the language.
